MUSICA PRACTICA / ELETTRONICA VIVA is a series of programs that includes conversations, workshops, and concerts focusing on electronic music performance & practice. In 2019/2020, MUSICA PRACTICA / ELETTRONICA VIVA will engage several artists in the vanguard of applied imagination in electronic music/sound to dialogue and share performances with the Penn community and our region. This cohort of artists operates in several arenas: instrument design/manufacture, activism, education, and research. This is part of an effort to maintain an active dialogue with, and demonstrate commitment to contemporary electronic musicians/artists at various points in their careers in order to be able to continue to provide/create opportunities for students and Penn community members to engage with the leaders in this field.
