The Sis Uprising: A Critical Kiki with Arien Wilkerson will be an online event in which Wilkerson and their collaborators will present new and previous work to Ricardo Bracho’s creative writing workshop, Passion Projects, and to the greater Penn community. The work will include excerpts from previous performances as well as premiere the video, The Sis Uprising, a conceptual Black spectacle on Covid and the protests; the interwoven legacies of race, gender and sexuality and Black queer artistic insurgency.
