The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing (Penn Nursing) will partner with Elevate Theatre Company LLC to create a series of digital theater events telling stories from frontline workers. The “Frontline Series” will use the viewpoint of nurses, other clinical team members (physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, etc.), and those working in the hospital but not necessarily with patient-facing roles (e.g. Housekeeping, engineering) as inspiration for the theatrical performances to be created. Elevate will gather the frontline perspective, through ethnographic interviews, and then create theater pieces leveraging a compilation of frontline stories using trained playwrights and actors. Elevate will present the 2-part series and host Penn Nursing and other frontline team members in panel discussions.
