The two-year Master of Fine Arts program at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design is focused on the professional development of studio artists. The program provides an open intellectual framework to foster critical awareness and independent methods of artistic research. (Penn MFA Thesis Exhibition 2019)

The Weitzman School of Design’s two-year Master of Fine Arts program will host annual satellite shows in New York over the next two years for its graduating MFA candidates. The satellite show will complement the MFA thesis exhibition that takes place in Philadelphia. While the thesis exhibition aims to showcase the artistic growth of the students in a local gallery, the satellite show provides students an opportunity to showcase their work in New York, an international cultural and artistic center. An invited curator will work collaboratively with the graduating artists to develop the exhibition as a whole.
