Fred Schmidt-Arenales organized Authority, Emotion, and Exclusion: A Group Relations Conference and Screening Series for Philadelphia graduate students in the MFA, MSW, and History of Art programs at Penn, and the MFA and Art History programs at Temple, based on the artist Leigh Ledare’s work using the Tavistock group dynamics method. The screening series culminated in a showing of Leigh Ledare’s The Task, a Group Relations Conference that was organized by Ledare in order to shoot it as an art film. The screening of The Task was followed by a discussion with Ledare.
