Clusters (Landfill).

Clusters (Landfill) is a non-narrative video work that explores the means by which latent threats appear and are analyzed within an American, post-industrial landscape. The project focuses on the land and water underpinning a suspected and contested cancer cluster in the community of Norwood, PA, which harbored tension between individual perceptions and subsequent analysis by government agencies. The work blends the beliefs and concerns of a local community with an tedious approach to imaging that heightens minute details and reframes the ordinary as alienating.
