Contra-Archivx is a transnational initiative that documents and shares the practices and narratives of trans/feminist resistance across Latin America. Through collaboration with Peruvian feminist artists and activists such as Yaré Colán and Collera Red, the project will create a decentralized, evolving archive that captures embodied resistance through performances, oral histories, and multimedia installations. The project unfolds through research, artistic creation, and collective engagement across multiple sites. It begins with digital ethnographic research and performance-based inquiry in Philadelphia, followed by community-led workshops in Lima, where archive materials—including photos, videos, performance documentation, and oral testimonies—are co-created with feminist collectives. Expanding further, Contra-Archivx engages feminist networks across Latin America, incorporating diverse narratives and artistic interventions into the archive. Ultimately, the project culminates in the launch of an open-access digital platform, ensuring accessibility and long-term preservation while inviting continued contributions and expansion. More than a repository, Contra-Archivx is a living archive—an active space for resistance, memory, and transnational feminist solidarity.
