Criss Cross is a student-run print art publication designed as “a conversation you can hold,” built around a simple belief: Penn students make extraordinary work, but rarely get to engage with each other’s passions outside their own fields. Criss Cross addresses that gap, by offering a site for cross-disciplinary collaboration through a student-run art publication. Issues will have a single theme – academic writing, research artifacts, poetry, fiction, photography, etc. – yet each will invite contributions from across disciplinary boundaries. Individuals contributing works to the publication will also be invited to annotate their peers’ work, with the annotations becoming the key site for intellectual and creative exchange.
