Q-INE (pronounced queen), an LGBTQ+ interest magazine developed to give Penn’s queer community an outlet for expression and a platform for interests and concerns, has sought bridge support from the Sachs Program until their Student Arts Council funding is approved. Q-INE is accepting submissions from the entire Penn LGBTQ+ community, in the form of interviews, poetry, memoir, art, and photography, for example, and plans to publish these as an annual print publication each spring. Q-INE will also publish a digital edition, which may include video and audio. Beyond the magazine itself, Q-INE hopes to promote queer art and writing by hosting events, such as a speaker series, and opportunities to share work.
