#VoteThatJawn supports content creation by young voters to encourage other young voters to get out the vote. Between the 2014 and 2018 primaries, 157% more 18-year-olds in Philadelphia registered to vote. #VoteThatJawn helped by connecting organizations and schools across Philadelphia. This year, #VoteThatJawn will continue its efforts around voter engagement, involving University of Pennsylvania students as project organizers and content creators. Registering to vote is extreme, urgent, ultimate, high-stakes, grown-up learning, and #VoteThatJawn believes that the secret sauce to young adult voter engagement is young adults: writing, making videos, art work, music, and spoken word–and sharing!
