‘What I want you to know’ is a conversation and lens-based project for trans/nonbinary/agender participants to initiate dialogue with a family member of their choosing. Through their practice, Marta RodriguezMaleck creates space for comfort in moments of discomfort and challenging conversations. For ‘What I want you to know’ RodriguezMaleck is helping trans/nonbinary/agender participants edit and share a video message of what they want someone in their family to know for the sake of opening up dialogue, fostering understanding, and/or healing. The conversations will be recorded and Rodriguez Maleck intends to compile them into an exhibit that can be shared in the Fall of 2023 in Philadelphia.
