Senior Shares His Experience Interning with Opera PhiladelphiaLeo Sarbanes joined Opera Philadelphia through Penn’s Summer Humanities Internship Program coordinated through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships. He is working to create a curriculum guide for city public school teachers about September's annual opera festival, O19. “For a genre that doesn’t always seem the most relevant for the younger generation, it’s so important to show students that opera is as modern as it gets,” Sarbanes says.

Cinema Studies Professor Interviewed by Boise State Public Radio After Winning ‘1 Potato Award’The 1 Potato screenwriter award is given every year at the Sun Valley Film Festival. This year's winner is screenwriter and Penn Cinema Studies professor Scott Burkhardt, who wrote "Girls Are Strong Here." It's the story of a Syrian refugee whose faith is tested when an American teen and her mother are stranded at his car repair shop overnight.
