WriteMinds: Because Aging Is Living is a creative writing initiative that brings accessible, imaginative workshops to older adults and their loved ones. With the support of core team members Michelle Lu, Grace Haeun Lee, Xi Lin, Sadie Margolin, and Julian Williams, the program promotes emotional well-being and creative agency by transforming writing into a shared language of care and healing. Hosted in partnership with senior centers and community spaces across Philadelphia, these workshops expand beyond linear storytelling to emphasize imagination, invention, and the joy of collaboration. Participants are invited to craft poetry and flash fiction, experiment with unconventional forms of writing, and work together to create collective community pieces.
