Undergraduate Neuroscience Department

The Undergraduate Neuroscience Program provides an interdisciplinary major for students interested in neuroscience. The biological perspective spans from evolutionary considerations to molecular mechanisms, to computational models. The behavioral topics range from natural animal behaviors to human cognition, to neurological diseases. This field of study also requires a foundation in relevant sciences, including biology, chemistry and statistics. Given the cross-disciplinary nature of neuroscience, courses are taught by faculty members from several departments in the School of Arts and Sciences, including biology, psychology, criminology and linguistics, in addition to departments in the schools of medicine, nursing, business, and communication.
