2027 Sachs Program Annual Grants Information Session

The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation will host an information session on Wednesday, October 28, to discuss our 2027 Annual Grants, including a review of the application process and general recommendations for crafting a successful proposal.
We’ll also reserve time for grantees Eshani Surya, recipient of a 2026 Independent Creative Production Grant Award, and Ranim Albarkawi, recipient of 2026 Project Grant Award, to discuss their experiences applying for a Sachs Program grant and implementing their supported projects.
This event is free and open to the University of Pennsylvania community. Lunch will be provided. Registration is requested but is not required to attend.

We’ll close the session with time for brief micro meetings, where applicants can meet with Sachs Program staff or a board member to discuss their application and ask questions. Meetings will last about 5 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-up sheet will be made available at the beginning of the session.

2027 Sachs Program Annual Grants
Near the end of September 2026, the Sachs Program announced the opening of our 2027 grant cycle, with a November 20, 2026, deadline for 2027 grant applications.
Sachs Program Annual Grants include a range of opportunities supporting University of Pennsylvania faculty and staff, departments, programs and centers, and collaborations with community partners.
There are five categories of annual grant opportunities during our 2027 grant cycle.
- Artist Residency Grants
- Community Partnership Grants
- Curricular Support Grants
- Independent Creative Production Grants
- Project Support Grants
Grant opportunities specifically for Penn students are also offered through Sachs Program Student Grants.
Sachs Program grants support innovative arts activities throughout the University of Pennsylvania community, aligned with our mission to support and inspire creative practice and practitioners across the university and Penn’s extended community.
