2027 Sachs Program Community Partnership Grants Information Session

The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation will host an information session on Tuesday, October 27, to discuss our 2027 Community Partnership Grants, including a review of the application process and general recommendations for crafting a successful proposal.
We’ll also reserve time for Suzana Berger, Director of University-Assisted Community Schools, Arts, Culture, & Humanities Partnerships at the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, as a recipient of a 2026 Community Partnership Grant, to discuss their experience applying for a Sachs Program grant and implementing their supported project.
This event is free and open to the University of Pennsylvania community. Lunch will be provided. Registration is requested but is not required to attend.

We’ll close the session with time for brief micro meetings, where applicants can meet with Sachs Program staff or a board member to discuss their application and ask questions. Meetings will last about 5 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-up sheet will be made available at the beginning of the session.
This event is also open to the broader Philadelphia community in addition to members of the Penn community. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend, whether they have already identified a project partner or want to learn more about developing collaborative partnerships.

2027 Community Partnerships Grants
Near the end of September 2026, the Sachs Program announced the opening of our 2027 grant cycle, with a November 20, 2026, deadline for 2027 Community Partnership Grant applications.
Sachs Program Community Partnerships Grants support collaborations between the University of Pennsylvania and community arts and civic organizers or non-profit organizations—to cultivate meaningful partnerships between Penn and neighboring communities. Projects should be community-centered and the lead applicant must be a Penn faculty or staff member.

Sachs Program grants support innovative arts activities throughout the University of Pennsylvania community, aligned with our mission to support and inspire creative practice and practitioners across the university and Penn’s extended community.
