The Most Human Human (working title) is an immersive multimedia operetta loosely inspired by the book The Most Human Human by Brian Christian. Working with a librettist, a cinematographer, a choreographer, and a production designer, Andrew Burke will weave together a short story that investigates how we communicate and forge connections.
The story will be brought to life in a public performance through music, dance, and filmed interludes, which will be projection-mapped throughout the performance space. This multimedia operetta will explore the nature of human connection and how we make sense of each other’s humanity, as we move towards a society more deeply entwined with artificial intelligence.
The project will bring together a team of musicians, dancers, designers, and writers from Philadelphia and beyond to stage the production in the spring of 2026.
