2022 Grant Awards
In its fifth year, The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation awarded 49 grants over the course of the year, for a total of $288,000 in funding.
New to our grantmaking categories this year were our Community Partnership Grants and Alumni Art Awards. We additionally offered grants in the following categories: Artist Residency Grants, Curricular Grants, First-Year Seminar Grants (awarded in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences), Independent Creative Production Grants, Project Grants, and Student Grants.
Not reflective in these numbers are our Ben Art Bucks program – quick, accessible grants of up to $250 for students and student groups to support creating or experiencing the arts – and our Rolling Grants – grants of up to $3,000 offered on a rolling basis to faculty, staff, departments, programs, and centers, to support arts activities that fall outside of our annual grant cycle.
Across all grants and categories, The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation supported a wide range of practices within the arts and humanities: reflecting and advancing our mission and supporting the communities we serve in myriad and significant ways.
